in spite of the fact that your fuel might be low on your record player

The Birth House (or should I say - Gimdymo Namai) has just been published in Lithuania!
I find the cover compelling. What do you think?

I'm thrilled to be published by Vaga and have my work on the shelves in a country that is so cool, there's a statue* honouring Frank Zappa in their capital city.

"We never saw Zappa, but nobody ever saw God, and they still go to church," says partner-in-crime Vytautas Kernagis, a respected Lithuania musician. "Lithuania is a nation of mythology, legends and fairy tales. Everything is mystified. People believe really quickly, and one of the myths is that independence is good for everyone, with no exceptions." - Rolling Stone 2002
*Today's fun Frank Zappa fact brought to you by CBC Radio's Q with Jian Ghomeshi.

Yeah, that cover is cool. I went to school with these twins that were from Lithuania, I wonder if they'll read BH in their mother's tongue.

Congratulations on all your much-deserved success... I respect the privacy and the time required to create the masterful work you do... just so you know I'm not a big Facebook fan but I do enjoy following along with the happenings at Ami's world.. cottage has rented for mid June to mid August to a nice wee family from Vancouver... I do hope one day to visit together and have that cuppa (after I enjoy your next bestseller)... Best wishes from a respectful neighbour... ----Sally (o:
